Move over Valentine!
A new era has begun as for centuries February 14th has been known as Valentine’s Day, a time beloved of romantics. But now Library Lovers everywhere are claiming the day for the objects of their special affection, Australia’s libraries!

Preschool Storytime
This week we are off to Old MacDonald’s Farm. There will be lots of animals to meet and we might even sing a barnyard song or two! So if you haven’t had a storytime adventure with us yet, phone staff on 6662 6160 to reserve your place. We look forward to seeing you here!
Teddy Bears are ready for home
The Casino Library’s first ever Teddy Bear Sleepover has been a huge success. A total of 20 bears and friends were left with the staff with strict instructions to take good care of them. The bears had such a wonderful time that they said they wanted to stay! But we explained to them that their owners would be starting to miss them, so now they are ready to be picked up, along with photos of their library adventure. Thank you for joining this exciting event, and we look forward to doing it all again next year!

Teddy Bear Sleepover
Last week the Casino Library held its very first Teddy Bear Sleepover! Children from our preschool storytime program left Teddy bears and soft toys of all shapes and sizes with instructions to take good care of them, which we did. At the end of the day, staff tucked them into bed for the night thinking they would sleep peacefully until the next morning….When we returned to work the following day it was apparent that they did anything but sleep! Hidden cameras caught them getting into all sorts of mischief and it seems they had such a wonderful time, they want to do it again next year! They are now ready to go home with their owners, along with photos of their adventure.
Teddy Bear Sleepover
This week’s preschool storytime features the library’s first ever teddy bear sleepover! If you haven’t already done so, book a space and bring along your favourite teddy for this fun-filled event. They will be returned to you along with a photo story telling of all the adventures a teddy bear can have when the lights go out at the library. Looking forward to seeing you in just one sleep!
Kyogle Spinners and Weavers
Casino Library hosted the Kyogle Spinners and Weavers Tuesday last week, with the day being a great success. Nearly everyone that visited the library went and and had a look, with some even trying their hand at spinning!
